FCC to propose emergency alert text messaging system

WASHINGTON (CNN) — A nationwide alert system will use cell phones or other mobile devices to send text messages to Americans when an emergency occurs, the Federal Communications Commission is expected to announce Wednesday or Thursday, according to an FCC representative.

Clinton challenges McCain, Obama on war

ALIQUIPPA, Pennsylvania (CNN) — Sen. Hillary Clinton on Wednesday argued that she is the only presidential candidate capable of ending the war in Iraq.

Postal workers back Obama

The American Postal Workers Union announced Wednesday it is backing Barack Obama, a boost to the Illinois senator two weeks before the crucial April 22 Pennsylvania primary.“Sen. Iran warns West of “bloody nose” over nuclear issue

It’s “Take Your Gun to Work” Day in Florida?

Is this really a good idea?  In a state that a) botched the 2000 election and b) broke the DNC election rules in 2008 and c) is populated mostly by cranky old people?!?!?!

Convalescence (Day 6)

Hope I’m spelling convalescence right… I wonder that each time I start a new post.

Today so far I’m not doing too bad, despite not sleeping well for the last 3 nights.  Right now my pain index is probably a 3 on a scale of 1-10.  Last night the pain got into my legs so bad that I couldn’t get up off the floor and had to eat dinner that way.

PT this afternoon and aside from that will continue to try and take things easy.
